We are delighted to announce that the “Unseen Echoes” exhibition will be showcased at the prestigious St Albans Cathedral. This landmark venue, with its rich history and over 500,000 visitors annually, provides an incredible platform for our exhibition.

Running for two weeks, the “Unseen Echoes” exhibition is set to captivate a diverse and extensive audience, offering an unprecedented opportunity for broader engagement with the compelling stories and images presented.

The significance of this exhibition being viewed by such a wide audience cannot be overstated. “Unseen Echoes” is more than just a collection of photographs; it is a powerful narrative that gives voice to the marginalized and brings attention to crucial social issues. Each image and story within the exhibition is a testament to resilience, hope, and the human spirit, capturing moments that are often overlooked or ignored.

Through a collection of poignant photographs taken by the artist Chris Hall, visitors will view fragments of survivors’ stories through everyday objects and dive into the hidden realities of domestic abuse. This exhibition will coincide with Safeguarding Sunday on 17th November, highlighting its importance in raising awareness and fostering dialogue on this critical issue.

By presenting this exhibition at St Albans Cathedral, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and empathy within the community. The cathedral’s visitors come from all walks of life, providing a unique opportunity to reach a varied demographic. This increased visibility is vital for raising awareness and encouraging support for the causes and individuals highlighted in the exhibition.

Moreover, the exhibition’s presence at such a renowned venue underscores the importance of using art as a medium for social change. It reinforces our mission to empower individuals through photography and to use visual storytelling as a catalyst for dialogue and action.

Following this exhibition, we will be supporting St Albans and Hertsmere Women’s Refuge with our Christmas service collections in December 2024. This initiative continues our commitment to supporting local organisations and those in need.

About Chris Hall

Christopher James Hall, a professional photographer based in St Albans, began his photography career in 2015 after receiving a camera from a local church member. His journey into photography was profoundly influenced by his personal experiences, having faced homelessness in High Wycombe from 2011 to 2013. During this challenging period, he discovered photography through a charity project, which played a pivotal role in his rehabilitation from 2013 to 2015.

By 2015, Christopher secured stable housing and has since built a distinguished career, earning several awards for his work. He is not only a successful photographer but also a dedicated advocate for social change. Through his foundation, he assists individuals facing adversity or discrimination, aiming to foster an inclusive and empathetic society.

Christopher specialises in producing awareness projects and campaigns, collaborating with over 28 organisations to date. His projects, characterised by their user-led approach, involve real stories, comments, and imagery, and have resulted in nine exhibitions and four publications. His mission is to transform lives through photography by providing projects, exhibitions, and opportunities for marginalised individuals to have a voice, thereby raising awareness and support for the organisations and people involved.
